The 17th Hole Landscape Project
Beginning Monday, August 23rd
Golfers often ask “What can be done to improve the 17th hole?” As you know the 17th hole has been a challenge throughout the years due to poor soil conditions and an irregular layout. A renovation of the hole will take place to address both of these issues. Our plan is to grade the low spots on the fairway, introduce a heartier blend of turf grass and to enhance the playability of the golf hole.
We plan to improve the layout of the hole by expanding the landing area for drivers (the dogleg). This expansion will allow a 250 yard straight shot from the back tee box. This will encourage golfers to play the hole by aiming down the middle of the fairway rather than trying to cut the corner.
The 17th hole will be played as a par 3* during the renovation process. We expect to complete the project by the middle of October.

Sunday Junior Special
The Glencoe Golf Club would like to extend an offer to all families to come out and join us on Sunday afternoons and save on junior greens fees.
Any Junior playing with a paid adult plays for free after 5:30pm on Sundays.
